debi's 3D fantasy art
63For many years, I have wanted to master the art of drawing and painting but had to accept that I was no artist. I am bi-polar and for those that know what it is like, then you will agree that we often need something to create as a way to express ourselves and feelings. For those that do not know what being bi-polar is then maybe you can get a glimpse into my world. My art is based on my dreams, things I see or just about anything that creates emotion inside me.
About a year ago I saw some art that had been done by a couple of women that just captured my attention and I asked them how they did it. When they told me that it had taken years to master, I felt discouraged but also began investigating and searching for anything related to this new form of art.
I came across Daz Studio and it said it was a free program so I downloaded it and was amazed that it was so simple to get started with. It was at this point that I realized that I could still draw and paint but with different tools. I began to learn more and soon, I learned how to incorporate Photoshop into my drawings. It wasn't long that I discovered Bryce. I began to use Bryce for more landscaping purposes and daz was used mainly for people. Photoshop is always use to do post work.
I have gotten better over the past year and as I study more techniques, I will get even better. I do this type of art for my own enjoyment and I find it to be quite therapeutic. Also the only limitations are the ones I put on myself. I have seen some of the most beautiful art down to the most bizarre. It is all interesting and an extension of a persons psyche.
I hope that by reading my page and seeing my work as each new picture is displayed might incite someone to want to use this as an outlet for their angst and creativity.
So Welcome friends, if you want to leave some criticism, please do so kindly.
welcome to my world

Very nice, I draw the traditional fantasy art with pencils and crayons, but would like to get into computer graphics art sometime soon.
Good job though, you may want to join cafepress or some other place and try adding your art on t-shirts and stuff to sell.

welcome aboard. Good luck on sorting out your bi-polar issues. I know someone who is dear to me who has the problem. She is much better due to the proper medication(lithium) and AA. To be honest, I'm not much of a fan of fantasy imagery particularly its cyber variety....I do like your profile image however.
