beginners guide to 3d art

If you want to create digital art but are afraid you can't do it then you are wrong. Believe me if it was that hard, I wouldn't be able to do it. There is a program called Daz Studio and it is free. That is the easiest way to get started. There are folders such as figures, hair, lights, props, and poses. This program comes with different things installed.

If I want to create a woman then I would go into the figures folder and find Daz people. After searching in this folder I would choose Victoria 3 and she will load onto a desktop, kind of like the work area in Photo-shop. Then I can add hair that I might have in another folder and the hair will attach itself to her. There are preset poses for her or you can move her and pose her yourself.

Decide what you want her to wear and go into the clothing folder and when you click on the item it will attach itself to her. There are props such as a wand that you can put in her hand. You can create anything, your creativity is your only limit.

There are environments and backgrounds that you can add to complete the picture. If you take photos then you can use the photos in your creations. I joined the membership, it is $7.95 a month and you get a $5.00 voucher at the beginning of the month so you are only really spending $2.95.

With a membership you can buy other files for your Daz Studio which some are as little as $1.99 and a lot of them are free. Of course you can spend a lot more on clothing, hair etc. if you want to. Mostly the things that they offer for $1.99 or free are nice files. They are constantly coming up with new products that can be used in Daz.

I began to incorporate my art with Photo-shop, I use it to make small corrections, or add other items. The possibilities are endless. There is also another place, Renderosity, that offers good deals on products that will work with Daz. They have some really great prices and a huge selection.

The forum and tutorials that is offered at Daz are great. I have gotten some great help from the moderators and the members.

So, if you want to create something, you have nothing to lose because Daz is free. If you find out it isn't for you then you can uninstall it, no problem.
